After Pinocchio, polished steel becomes the language of a series of figures that look inward and backward: to ancestors, to meditation, to the prophecies of Indigenous peoples.

Great Chief draws on the Andean prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor — reason and intuition — which foretells a Pachakuti, a future reconciliation. Eagle was researched in Patagonia and completed in Alaska. Meditation Man explores Buddhist detachment, and Generational Human Bert Hellinger’s family constellations, a theme the artist developed with Marina Abramović in 2015. The mirrored surface means each figure includes, in its reflection, whoever is looking at it.
