If Moneyball contains money that has been destroyed, Crypto Sphere contains money that has no body yet. A one-meter acrylic sphere holds in a titanium capsule the private keys to 250 bitcoins, and its surface — a flexible screen connected to the internet — shows the price in real time.
It is a work whose price changes as you look at it. It marks the shift in the artist’s research from the history of currency to the question of its future: transactional platforms and value without paper.
