Alberto Echegaray Guevara (also known as Cayman) is a new media artist and entrepreneur from Argentina. He currently lives and works between Miami and Buenos Aires.

His practice centers on site-specific immersive installations and parametric sculptures that explore ancient symbolism, monetary systems, and the future of transactional platforms. By forging a hybrid relationship between money, technology, and universal codes, he seeks a point of balance between information overload, technological systems, and human sensibility in the service of collective consciousness. His work creates a dialogue between nature and technology—a fusion of knowledge and intuition, science fiction and natural interactivity.

Echegaray locates creativity at the intersection of humans and machines. Treating the data that surrounds us as primary material and neural networks as collaborators, he produces radical visualizations of digitized memory and expands the possibilities of interdisciplinary art. His AI data paintings and sculptures, live audio-visual performances, and immersive installations take many forms, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with the physical world, public art, decentralized networks, and the creative potential of artificial intelligence. In his installations, floors, walls, and ceilings often dissolve into infinity.

In 2026, he founded the Delphi Oracle Foundation (Proyecto Delfos), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that addresses the fragility of digital civilization: the risk that most of human knowledge could be lost in a major disruption of power grids, the internet, or data centers. The project builds a distributed, open-source, off-grid system capable of storing, explaining, and teaching knowledge without external infrastructure. Its core is the Cortex node in Patagonia, which runs a local AI model on identical SSD modules covering cultural heritage, engineering, medicine, agriculture, law, survival skills, and more. Knowledge is delivered through human-scale and portable holographic interfaces (referencing the ancient Pythia of Delphi), exploratory AI-generated videos, and both backpack and institutional versions powered by solar, wind, hydro, or geothermal energy.

Echegaray is a partner of the Arch Mission Foundation; the collaboration pairs Arch Mission’s ultra-long-term space archives with Delfos’s terrestrial, locally accessible systems. Additional alliances include Space AI for distributed nodes. The project’s first public presentation is scheduled for November at the Argentine National Congress.

He has received numerous honors, awards, and residencies, and has served as a guest lecturer. He is a frequent commentator on global media outlets including CNN, Univision, Voice of America, Al Jazeera, and Telemundo, noted for his defense of human rights and democracy in Latin America. He previously served as Latin American Director of Ashoka, overseeing projects related to human rights, the environment, health, social innovation, and education in more than 40 countries.

He is currently Director of Newton Capital and a board member of Lydians Capital, Space AI (with headquarters in Silicon Valley and Israel), and various foundations.

He holds a Master’s in Policy Management from Georgetown University, is a graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration in Paris, and has a Management Diploma from Harvard University. He also holds a BA in International Relations from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Argentina’s Military Academy, and is a former cavalry officer in the Argentine Army.
